My husband and I both liked this dish. It was filling, but not too heavy. The gnocchi was great. Next time I will add mushrooms to the sauce and make the meatballs smaller.

Noone in my family liked this recipe. I agree wtih others that it made way too much sauce. The meatballs were dry and bland. If I make it again, I will change several things to the recipe including using regular spaghetti sauce and maybe will try the Ritz crackers as someone else suggest.

My husband loved this one just the way it was. I like the first three bites then I didn't want anymore. Don't think I'm a fan of the gnocchi and I agree that the sauce was bland. I added a lot of crushed red pepper to spice it up. Doesn't make good leftovers.

This also makes wonderful sliders -
Just prepare the meatballs (I added a little pesto to this mixture and grill up. Then serve with carmelized onions - sooooo great! Love the recipe as is too - doctor up the sauce a little with roasted garlic or rep peppers or mushrooms. Love this best with regular pasta.

The meatballs were good but the sauce was so bland. I had to doctor it up a lot.

The meatballs were terrific - I added about 1-2 Tbsp of pesto to the meatballs, and let them sit for an hour or so in the fridge before baking. It let them firm up and no egg was needed to hold them together.
I added about 1 cup of finely diced red pepper with the onion in the sauce and let these cook for a good amount of time.
I also added about 6 roasted garlic cloves, mashed up, into the sauce. Gave it a wonderful complexity.

I saw this and decided I'd try it - didn't have ground turkey but had frozen meatballs - no problem. Didn't have Gnocchi - but had cheese tortilini - no problem. Added the meatballs to the sauce and let them boil and cook in there, stirred in the tortilini before serving and the kids couldn't get enough! It was SO yummy!!!!!!! Definitely a recipe I'll be making a lot of! THANKS RACHEL!
