I added a few twists to the recipe, but it cam out as a very hearty and filling soup.

My daughter who is 12 made this tonight. It was easy for her to follow and we all thought the taste was very good. The broth was great. Next time I would add 1/4 c. more d'italini, and another can of chicken stock..

Wow! This soup is so filling and satisfying! The only thing I do different is use all gr. beef for the meatballs and cook them for 1/2 hour before I serve it. Our 2 year old loves the "little" meatballs.

I LOVED this soup! I used broken fettuccini noodles because I couldn't find the rings and I left out the veal using 1/2 beef and 1/2 pork because I don't know ANYONE who is willing to eat veal considering how it's raised. The sandwiches were really good too. I bought a five cheese Italian blend package to save some money and they turned out great. The bread was yummy, but next time I will ask them to slice it at the store for me.
