We had never had chicken sausage before, so we didn't know what to expect - we really didn't care for it. We will stick to our regular way of making it. We use italian sausage links, make a big slice down the middle, and stuff the cheese inside/on top during the last 5-10 minutes of cooking. Much easier and faster. We did love the broccoli and potatoes though. They are now a staple in our home for other meals.

Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Every component of this meal tasted delicious (except the broccollini - didn't make it I used Turkey suasage as I could not find chicken sausage; I seasoned it with Pauls Dean's house seasoning. Meatballs were the best ever tasted. The potatoes were someting new for us but loved it. never tried cheese in potatoes but now, there's no other way. I never used Pesto before and was kind of scared to try it but the sauce was amazing! Didn't bother mashing tomatoes with masher; just bought can of crushed tomatoes instead, heated through and added the pesto sauce with a little sugar (since I couldn't find the Sweet ones have some left over for tomorrows dinner to pour over spaghetti; Will definitely make this again.

I loved the broccoli..I used regular broccoli spears no broccolini at the market..I used grapeseed oil instead of EVOO (I really don't like the taste of EVOO at all. I also used a little garlic and herb seasoning (this seasoning has no salt and it was great, flavorful and had a nice bite to it. I mixed some of Rachael's and Aaron McCargo's recipe together for the meatballs (Aaron used Applewood bacon and panko breadcrumbs to the meatballs..delicious.. The recipe works great with chicken sausage and turkey meat. Also I did not use the EVOO used Grapeseed oil over it again..It was great. The sauce of great and so were the potatoes ( I also put Parmesean cheese on the potatoes, it made them taste even better ( I had a lot of cheese leftover from a previous receipe that is why I used them. Kudos Rachael for this great receipe..

Very, very good, but had to grocery shop for ingredients. I used spray olive oil on a 12 cup muffin non stick pan. It turned out fantastic. Also cooked asparagus instead of broccolini. Using a glad simply cooking steamer bag, cooked the grass til almost done. Removed and put in regular zip loc bag to marinate in chopped garlic, dried tyme and basil. It was all very good. Thanks.

I made the dinner sans the broccolini (used regular broccoli as this was what was available in the store. Could not find sweet chicken sausage so used sweet turkey sausage instead. For those of you who say the meatballs were tough, could be you cooked them to death. This dinner was YUMMY and so easy. Will definitely make again and wouldn't be ashamed to serve to company. Tasted like we ordered it at our favorite Italian restaurant.

I made this complete meal. Loved everything-except the meatballs were like rubber balls, and you really can't taste the cheese in the center either. I would definately make this entire meal again, but, make more tradtional ingredients for the meatballs -w/ egg and breadcrumbs to create a softer more desireable texture. Other than that, the sauce was magnificent, potatoe-great and broccolini- soo good.!!

I used hot italian sausage and made the balls larger. I should have used larger mozzarella balls however but still wonderful. Just a really great, quick meal.

I was not able to find the chicken sausage so I combined mild and hot turkey sausage...worked just fine....also loved the potatoes and roasted broccoli! This was my first experience making Rachael's recipes and it won't be my last!

I went for a milder version of this dish and it was spectacular! I mixed 1lb mild italian ground sausage and 1lb ground chicken. I also browned the meatballs in olive oil before baking. I served with white rice instead of potatoes. It was a hit with the whole family. Would also make a great company dish!
