I thought this soup was really good, with the exception of the bean thread noodles. The way they looked cooked grossed me out. Not to mention they did soak up a lot of the liquid. I'll make this again but I will omit or use a different kind of noodle.

I love Rachael Ray's recipes, but this one is not one of my favorites.

I made this last night and it was SO good. You could leave the chicken out and it would be just as good.

Rachel Ray, this was wonderful! We don't have a Thai restaurant in our area, and I hope you come up with some more Thai recipes REALLY, REALLY soon!
    Thank you!

Very refreshing flavors and it warms you up in the cold winter. I added celery because I had a bit left over and I liked it. Also added ALL of the chicken broth (not just 1 and 1/2 boxes. I like the extra broth.
The only thing I would have changed would be the noodles...I prefer rice noodles over the bean noodles.

Very good and very easy to make! My husband loved it also. I added a little bit of fish sauce with the pepper as some have suggested. This recipe is very tasty, not bland at all.
I look forward to cooking it again.

Lots of ingredients, but not too much flavor. Could use more liquid.

I grew up eating Asian foods and really was unhappy I never learned to make any of them. This is a great basic soup that captures many of the flavors I missed. I can't find bean thread noodles in my area so I use rice noodles (the best are from individual packets, like Thai ramen, and we add three to a pot, tossing the seasoning packets. I serve this plain for my kids and my husband and I spice our bowls individually with red Asian chili sauce.
