This dish was so extremely easy to prepare and pleased everyone. Watching it on tv is one thing but smelling it cook in your own kitchen is amazing.
The ingredients for this dish are very inexpensive and so savory! This soup is now a new family favorite in my house. Also, if you like to cook w/ your kids, it's a good meal for them to learn about the different types of ingredients that we don't necessarily use in American food on a daily basis, like the soy bean strings. A+++++++

This was a tasty soup, and pretty easy to make. Next time I think I'll try it with rice thread noodles instead of bean thread noodles.

This was easy and it tasted wonderful. I felt like I was eating at a Thai resturant. Couldn't beleive I made it myself. I added fresh spinish as a topper to each bowl....YUMMY! Thanks Rachel!

I saw a few minutes of this episode and was intrigued by the easy Shrimp and Pork Balls that were served with a dipping sauce along with the Thai soup. This soup was very simple to prepare, though to make it (and the meatballs in 30 minutes you really need to take care of your mise en place . . . I wasted a lot of time playing Chop and Go. The biggest change I made in the recipe was to use half of the Shrimp/Pork ball recipe to drop small meatballs into the Thai soup as it simmered. Delicious! I then cooked the remaining half of the Shrimp/Pork mixture according to the recipe and served it with the dipping sauce. My husband loved it! It is very easy to adjust this recipe to your individual taste - I added extra serrano peppers, cilantro and lime to my bowl after the soup was ready. I like the idea of a previous reviewer to add fish sauce - I'll definitely try that next time.
