Very good! I was asked to add this into our weekly rotation. I didnt put any allspice or worschtershire sauce, and I replaced the crushed tomatoes with a jar of tomato basil sauce. Turned out delicious!!!! Had it for dinner and lunch! Will definately be making this again!

The sauce was great. I used ground beef instead of sirloin, and it was fine. I really love the idea of tossing the pasta in the ricotta and boiling water. I look forward to trying this technique again in other pasta recipes.

This is a great idea to feed a crowd! I didn't use her sauce recipe because I have one that my family loves, but I can comment on how much food this is. We fed 6 adults and 2 kids and still had enough leftover for probably 2 more people. Great idea!

I substituted Morningstar Veggie Crumbles for the ground sirloin and cottage cheese for the ricotta. I agree that a good marinara is better than the crushed tomatoes. It's great for when you have people coming for lunch last minute!

I used Italian sausage and really spiced up the sauce but it was still just 'ok'. My husband told me to get rid of this recipe, but then again, he's pretty picky. It will do in a pinch, probably for the kids.

I made this for my family a couple of times, and it just wasn't a hit. We just thought it needed more flavor.
Tonight we tried it again, but did a few things differently. First, I substituted Italian Sausage for the ground beef, and then I made a marinara sauce recipe that I had adapted from a Tyler Florence recipe. After about 15 minutes on the marinara, I added the Italian Sausage. Then I let that simmer for another 20 minutes, then mixed everything together. That made for a 4.5 to 5 star recipe at my house.

This is one of my favorite Rachael Ray recipes because I love lasagna, and this is such an easy way to make it. The flavors of the dish are great, and I love how saucy and cheesy it is. It takes me a little longer than 30 minutes to make it, but it's worth the extra effort.
