This stuff was stellar!! I've had some lousy French onion soup in restaurants, but this one beats even the best. I wanna squeeze that warm, bubbly lil cook for this masterpiece. Go awwwn, girrrl!

SOO easy and delicious! My hubby, a french onion soup lover, thought the recipe was great! My only question is who would get only 4 servings from this recipe? We have quite a bit left over, but we'll enjoy it again!

I divided all the ingredients by 3 to make a single serving. I'm a poor college student so I used leftover hotdog buns instead of the thick bread. Also used veggie broth instead of the beef, and it still came out with the same dark flavor! Awesome stuff... Good job Rachael!

I agreed with the anonymous reviewer on 10/25/04. I thought this soup lacked the robust flavor I often look for in French Onion Soup. I had to add beef bouillon in order to give it some flavor not to mention, cook it for another hour or so. I will not be making this soup again.

Great quick recipe for a cold damp day! Tastes just like the soup from my favorite restaurant!

Wow! This recipe was such a huge hit on Mother's Day. I'm not much of a cook; however I suprised my family with this tasty, scrumptious dish!

This was the easiest recipe to follow and tasted great. I served it as a starter but would use it as the main course with bread as well.

I LOVE french onion soup and was very excited to try making it myself. This recipe was easy to follow and prepare. I tried substituting in 1 cup of chicken broth instead of 1 cup of beef broth because I heard from others that all beef broth can be overpowering. That is the only substitution I made and it was delicious. My family said it was as good, if not better than what they would get in a restaurant!

A little greasy, but very tasty!! I served it with cubed bread that I sauteed in garlic and oil.

Best french onion soup I've ever had outside a restaurant.
