This was my first attempt at french onion soup and I thought it was wonderful! Although this is a 30 minute meal, I think the longer it cooked the better it got! I simmered mine for close to 2 hours. WTG Rachel!

I live in Minnesota and it is 27 below zero here. We don't let this bone chilling temp stop us from coming together with friends and family. I served this wonderfully warm soup at our home last night for My Mother and my husband and children. It was delicious!! I also served Rachels Stuffed peppers! Yum!! Keep up the good work Rachel, you have taught me so much and I never miss a show.

It is what it's name says, Oh So Good French Onion Soup! I tried it once and like it so much I fixed it for a crowd of people at work. They thought it was great! So this recipe has gone into my recipe box!

Wasn't sure how to make this, but we always love it when we eat out. Turned out great the first time will no problems. Looking forward to having it again soon.Beef stock becomes much more flavorful after it simmers awhile, if you have the time.

I tried this recipe using organic onions, beef broth, and thyme and the results were amazing. The organic onions added so much flavor to the soup. We are not soy people in my house, so we stick to the basics when it comes to organic food. I recommend using as many organic items as you can when making this soup. It makes a huge difference in the taste.

While the recipe was great, it left me smelling like onions the whole day.
