I made this for a xmas app for my family and no one liked it. I love olives but do not get all the fuss Rachael made when I watched this episode, no matter how I tried to doctor it up nothing worked...I deleted it from my recipe box!

This was an excellent appetizer. I found it was best served with a multi-grain bread. My husband isn't much of an olive fan, so I tried my own version of this recipe with dill pickles in place of the olives, and it was great.

I made this as a last minute appetizer while I had guests over. It took less than 5 minutes to make and everyone LOVED it! I added more olives and garlic than the recipe called for, because it is easy to lose their flavor with the ricotta and cream cheese. I also added a couple dashes of hot sauce for more flavor, although it didn't add any heat.

I served this with tortilla chips, french baguettes and crackers and noticed that my guests enjoyed it the most with tortilla chips.

I didn't like the bitterness and the texture of the Ricotta. Sour cream might blend as well as balance out the flavor. Thanks for that suggestion guys!

I made this for an upcoming Pre-Work Christmas Party. I made it ahead and minus the roasted nuts its was great. I had to secure it to prevent early eating before the party..

    Excellent Recipe

I made this for my family and they loved it. My wife is a teacher so I made it for her friends at work and they have been requesting it ever since. I'm a big texture fan and didn't care too much for the nuts on top. I also add a few extra ounces of olives and an additional clove of garlic. It's still a hit. Plus, it's made in about 5 minutes. Thanks Rachel!!!

Everyone LOVED it. Of course we forgot to buy ricotta and hazlenuts with all the shopping we were doing. We used cream chesse ,mascapone cheese, olives with pimentos, one large garlic clove minced, topped with honey roasted almonds crushed. IT WAS A HUGE HIT!!!!

So easy and so good! It does have a heavy olive taste, so you might go easy on the olives. I thought it was awesome!

I made this spread after reading the reviews. Though my husband and I love olives, I only used a little more than 3/4 cup of olives since we were serving it to guests. I added a few splashes of the olive juice from the jar, and took a hint from another reviewer and added a teaspoon or two of lemon juice. Everything else was as stated in the recipie. It turned out great (not too salty at all and I will definitely make it again. Also great with wholegrain crackers.
