Love this recipe - especially the stuffing! Love to make this with leftover turkey from Thanksgiving!

Ive had this recipe in my recipe box since 2006 and have never tried it so I thought I would finally make it...when I first read the ingredients I knew there was no where near enough bread in there..I like bready stuffing...so I used the basics of this recipe but no measuring of anything...I ended up using a whole onion and 3 celery stalks chopped and I sauteed them first until soft(in butter instead of the evoo, 10 pieces of toast(used a whole stick of butterdidnt need salt because of the sausage and stock...didnt measure pepper or poultry seasoning or the stock...I also used sage to taste...ended up making quite a bit and everybody liked it alot...I might make this again but if I do its going to have to have more bread or less sausage...still too much sausage imo

Made this for week night meal and everyone loved it. I didnt make the potatoes. But everything else was so good. I will make this again and again.
I loved making the dressing from scratch it was better then I every thought it would be. This Christmas I will be making this instead of store bag of dressing like I always have done in the past.

A recipe that's hard to "half" for fewer servings, but a good way to have turkey and cranberry sauce w/o it just being a Thanksgiving repeat!

Did not like the dressing. Maple sausage too sweet. Threw it out and made Stove Top since everything was ready. Gravy was great and the cranberry sauce was good. Potatoes were good, next time I would leave out the bacon, does not need it. Good without.

I tried this recipe with deli turkey breast, sliced thick. This would also be great with Thanksgiving leftovers. I would suggest using a few more slices of bread with the stuffing than what the recipe says. Overall, it was a good meal and made PLENTY. It can be easily doubled or halfed as neccessary.

It is like Thanksgiving left-overs which is really the best part anyway.
