Like a 'TV dinner' (Mini-Thanksgiving meal - anytime!
Retro! Great for leftovers as well. Could even make it
in <30 min if used instant mashed pots (I added chopped
green onions, but chopped chives would work, too.
Definitely add more bread to the stuffin' & toast. OR
substitute seasoned croutons. In the stuffin': I used
1/2 stock & 1/2 wine; I added green peppers (sauteed
w/onions & celery added raisins & apples with some
fresh whole cranberries. For the gravy: used 1/2 of the
broth & 1/2 apple cider. I did add green bean casserole & a holiday pie to this menu. This meal is great to serve to
    shut-ins, elderly.

I didn't make the warm apple cranberry sauce but the turkey sammys, stuffing, gravy and the smashed potatoes came out fabulous. Very tasty, didn't take a wizard to pull this one together. It was like a mini thanksgiving dinner without slaving all day and great for kids!

This is such a great stick to your bones dinner. I love to prepare it on rainy nights. My husband and 22 month old nephew are both picky eaters, and both love this dish.

The recipe was very good. We enjoyed it. I bought rotissiere turkey from the deli and it was somewhat poor. The sausage stuffing and gravy and smashed potatoes were easy and very tasty. The cranberry sauce was good enough to serve at Thanksgiving-very easy as well. Overall pretty easy meal.
