I have tried 50 or more soups with butternut squash with and without the orange. This by far is the best. Everyone loved it and it will be become our number one squash/orange soup. The best part is that it is so easy it is sinful.

It was done without any change. Great, especially for the kids.

I absolutely love this soup. My 2 year old even asked for more. I skipped the onion stage and added onion powder instead, as I didn't have a food processer yet, and it still turned out fantastic. So easy and tasty, even good for you!! My new favorite soup.

Great recipe! I've tried using the same recipe but substituting other purees or vegetables in place of the squash. Delicious! The squash was a hit on Thanksgiving!
*Tip: Pour some of the broth into the blender when you're pureeing the carrots and onions - I found there wasn't enough liquid to blend the mixture.

The OJ feature just did not sit well.

I also added garlic and a bit of cayenne pepper. I waited until the end to blend with a 'stick' blender. This is a new toy for me, and I splattered myself a few times. I decided it was smooth enough and even though there were small bits of carrot, I heard nothing but rave reviews. AMAZING stuff RR.

this soup was so easy to make, and i couldn't find the frozen mashed squash either but i just pureed some squash on my own and it worked fine.. i also added 2 cloves of garlic and its nice that way. its so healthy and so delicious. warms you to the bone on a wintery evening. just try it, seriously, because even if you dont like it it's so easy to make that you might as well give it a chance.

I couldn't find pureed butternut squash so I used canned pumpkin. I used some herbs de provence for seasoning along with salt and pepper. I didn't use a food processor or blender and most of my Thanksgiving company really like the soup. Even my picky brother which really says "thumbs up" for this recipe.
