Easy to make, delicious to eat. Thank you Rachel, for your take on an old favorite.
For those of you who had problems making the dish, my advice to you is to follow the recipe exactly. To make sure your pan and oil are hot, look for ripples on the surface of the oil or a light smoke. Take a drop of water and throw it in the pan from a distance. It should sizzle and splatter.
Try this dish. Don't be afraid of a little extra work when you're preparing something for those you love!

The first time I made this it turned out perfectly, the second time the cheese stuck and burned and turned into a big mess. The first time it was DELICIOUS! Going to try again tonight.

sorry to everyone who had trouble, but this was actually kinda easy for me and it turned out, i had a little disaster but that was my fault, and even with that it still turned out great. i accidently forgot to take out my chicken and thaw it before hand and tried to do it with frozen chicken... oops!! the potatoes were great, and so easy, you can do them with any meal, they would be really good on the grill too!! a tip, i got my hands really wet before trying to pack the cheese on the chicken, and that helped it stick... the wetter the more of like a cement mixture it made, the better it stuck, also i added a little garlic powder and italian seasoning mixture to my cheese to spice up the chicken a little more. i could see how some people had to finish it in the oven, i had to do that to mine too but i think thats becasue it was not cooked all the way through... my mistake!! lol all in all it was a really good dinner, my husband LOVED it too!!

This meal is great everything turned out great the chicken juices made the cheese stick so make sure you don't rinse or dry it off. A high quality parmesian cheese works best in the skillet as to not burn. The roasted veggies were great just make sure you have something to cool down your mouth they are a bit spicy. You must keep a close eye on the chicken the entire time it is cooking and make sure to use a non-stick pan.

Do try it. Sounded great but turned out wrong. No need to be put on med-high it should be done with medium heat and finished in the oven. Turned into a burnt mess, pregnant wife had to eat the leftovers. She loved the potatoes.

PLEASE EVERYBODY- do not waste your time on this meal. I unfortunately saved it for a special occasion meal and boy did it turn out TERRIBLE. The cheese did NOT stick on the chicken what so ever. Once I put it in the "hot" pan as told so, but the chicken stuck to the bottom of the skillet and no cheese was left on it. I wound up baking it for a few minutes after i took the potatoes out in an attempt to save the meal. It just was not tasty at all. I love the ideas of the chicken (tomatoe, basil, & cheese however it just was not put together very well. The potatoes were a hit and were wonderful!

First - loved the potatoes. A little on the spicy side, so if you're not big on spicy I would omit some of the red pepper flakes.
That being said - the chicken, what a disaster! Clearly someone must have forgotten a step when posting this here - you have to dip it in an egg wash (or something moist for any of the cheese to stick. And even though the recipe seems to stress having a hot pan to put the chicken in - let me tell you ( as I'm coughing on smoke in my house as we speak don't let the pan heat too much, first! I have made another cheese-crusted chicken of hers ( can't find it on this site and it was fine, no burning - but for some reason this was an inferno!
So yeah, for me the potatoes are a keeper - the chicken, maybe I'll re-attempt it with an egg wash after I've recovered...

I couldn't help but notice that this dish's cook time was estimated to be 20 mins, yet is on 30-min meals. I'm baffled
