I was a little worried that it would either be too sweet or too rich, and it was neither. Perfect for a fall dinner.

I admit that I left off the cinnamon, but my friend and I found this dish to be quite good. We were both nervous that it would be sweet (like pumpkin desserts, but it was savory and delicious!

Very easy and quite good. The only change I made was to use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth. For some reason this tasted a little bitter at the end - a tablespoon of honey did the trick though. I would likely make this again for a potluck or group meal.

Interesting is about all I can say. I read the reviews before making and therefore added cayenne for extra heat, used freshly grated nutmeg and parm. reggiano, didn't skimp on cinnamon, salt pepper,or garlic and it still was bland and uninspiring. RR has some good recipes but this one is not a keeper for me.

I have to say, I love the ideas Rachael gives me. I caught this episode this evening, and I though I had planned on making tonight a "leftover night", I thought, what the heck! I'll try this one, since I have all the stuff. I didn't have fresh sage, so I used dried. As the sauce was simmering, I agreed with other reviewers and thought it was a bit bland. So I added a couple tablespoons of ricotta, LOTS of extra hot sauce, and some SMOKED paprika. I topped it with a mixture of parmesan and smoked gouda, and it turned out really good. Next time I'll add prosciutto and grilled chicken. I think that would make it even better. Thanks, Rachael!

This was a huge hit at my house. I did add some chicken chunks to the scallions and the garlic to add some additional protein. Everyone loved it!

I made this for a spur-of-the moment dinner party and everyone raved about it. It was soooo delicious. If you love pumpkin, you will love this recipe. Great job Rach!

the earlier reviews were not very good, but I wanted to try it anyway....Glad I did. I used a little more hot sauce and fat free 1/2 & 1/2 instead of the cream to make it a little more healthy and it was really good. Even my picky husband liked it.

I was hesitant to try this, but I'm glad I did! It's nice to have something different for a change and it's great for getting my family in the mood for fall.
