Good fall healthy dish! I like intense flavor so I doubled or tripled the dry spices, added most of a standard bag of shredded Parmesan into the sauce, used dried sage & skim milk & added medallions of Garlic&Herb pork tenderloin--flavors melded beautifully!

This was so tasty! I had seconds and the only reason I didn't have thirds was because I was way too full! I altered the recipe a little to accomodate what I had around the house: I used vegetable stock instead of chicken stock and went about a half a cup shy on that and used about a half a cup of white wine to fill in. I used sriracha as the hot sauce and linguine instead of whole-wheat penne. I topped it with some shredded pecorina-romano. It turned out amazing and I will definitely be making this a few times between now and Thanksgiving! :- Thanks Rachael!

My family and I love this!! This will be the 5th year that I have made this dish for our Halloween dinner!! We have made it our Halloween tradition. I make this and homemade braided bread before we go trick or treating. It is filling and so YUMMY!!

My husband and I loved this dish tonight. I used this as a base recipe, though, because I was missing some ingredients. It turned out great! I used a little less than 1/2c half-and-half instead of cream, 1/2 yellow onion instead of shallots, no hot sauce nor cheese, and fresh parsley instead of sage. I added toasted pine nuts and sun dried tomatoes. Yum-o!

This was disappointing. Ever since I saw it on the show, I've been wanting to make this -- and finally, I did. It was bland, heavy, and there were way too many shallots (I even used two instead of three. I tried to add a pinch of sugar to do...something, but I don't think I'll be able to choke down the rest of this recipe.

This pasta is too bland and so heavy! I was full for hours after eating this. I would prefer a lighter version with much more flavor!

This was absolutely AMAZING!! I even got my husband to eat it! I added fresh spinach and shredded chicken, and I also added a little bit of the shaker parm-regg to the sauce in advance which also thickened it. I think next time I may add some kind of nut too, maybe pine nuts or crushed walnuts. There will be many more next times for sure!!

Yum Yum Yum... I make this recipe over and over again and love it more and more each time. However, I am lactose intollerant so I leave out the cream and it is delish! So EASY warm and comforting. I was heating up LOs in work and everyone said "wow something smells good" : Hurry up and make this :

Very good. I did use the recipe as written. I think it's great to experiment in the kitchen andI love to make something as I go. However, a REVIEW when someone has changed 3 or 4 of the ingredients or preparation methods isn't telling me how THIS recipe was for them.
