Love this dish!!! Simple, easy and great leftovers. I used the pre-packaged rice that already has saffron and other seasonings. And for the mussels I grabbed some that come ready to pop into a pan that have slight seasoning. You open the bag and pop them in.... no cleaning and I like the bit of extra flavor. Other than that, stuck to the recipe exactly and loved it!!

Paella is always a hit in our home because of the simplicity of a one-pot meal which offers something for everyone!

I made this pealla for our daughter's bday, we switched a few things. Substituted little neck clams for mussels because I prefer them, and switched out the choriso for turkey kielbasa because the fat content of the kielbasa was far less than that of the choriso. It turned out SO, SO, SO good!!! We had extended family over including an aunt from CA and everyone LOVED IT!! Although neither of my young daughters would try the clams they devoured every other bit of it on their plate! We served the dish family style on a GINORMOUS platter, and by the end of the meal some guests were scraping the platter for what was left!!! The only thing was that it definitely took longer than 30 minutes, but thats okay because everyone seemed very intrigued when I started cooking and soon my guests were in the kitchen cooking right alongside me and we all enjoyed a glass of wine while cooking! Thank you RR for a great meal!!

Many recipes for Paella call for Chorizo. It's a matter of taste. Your critical reviews are all over the place on this website...I think you should design your own Recipe website......"Null's Nothing is Good Enough"!

My husband made this when we had company over one night. EVERYONE loved it. My dad isn't a big seafood person, and his wife doesn't eat chicken- needless to say all loved it. Though the meal has a combination of white meat, seafood and sausage- it is a meal that everyone can enjoy. DELISH!!!

I made this with a friend and it was easy, fast and amazingly delicious. My guests said it was even better than the paella they order at our favorite Colombian restaurant.
I highly recommend this recipe!!!
