The Picadillo recipe was too plain and guests didn't really enjoy.

I first received this recipe 20+ years ago from a Cuban friend, and RR's is basically the same. I added extra pepper flakes (we like it spicy! and because I don't care for green peppers, I substituted with chopped fresh spinach added at the end, and cooked until wilted. My original recipe also calls for potatoes, cubed, fried in a little olive oil. Add the potatoes as the last layer to the plate. Yumm!

I loved this recipe. Very quick and easy to make. I take out the olives because I don't like them but I add sour cream and shredded cheese to give it a more taco taste. GREAT RECIPE!

This is a good quick dinner. It is not difficult to make or expensive. It has a nice tomato base flavor to it. Its not spicy which some may like. I added to it to give it a little kick.

I love this recipe. It's so simple and delicious. I use more garlic and olives in my version. It's also pretty healthy so I eat as much as I want.
