I love the taquitos and make them all the time. Simple recipe. I always end up adding a little extra chicken, and a small can of whole corn kernels to give it some moisture and a hint of sweetness. Love them!

    Hi Rachael,
I make chicken taquitos the old fashion way, frying, it takes so much time so I recently had starting to use the rotisserie chicken from the deli, wow what a time saver.

I love this process so much better than frying it healtheir and faster, not to mention we all loved them.

    Thank you so much
    Donna

Read everyone's review and added Pace's salsa verde to chicken mixture-thought it could use the heat. My husband agreed and thought I could add a little more salsa verde to it nexttime. Hubby also says it was restaurant quality as is-he liked the texture. Also I used flour tortillas instead of corn. Made the dipping sauce and it was good also. Of course, I season to taste as I go and use given measures of spices as a guideline.

Good taquitos. The chicken filling was tasty and easy. Bake a few minutes longer than instructed for a crispier taquito.

Tried the pork filling in taquitos instead of a burrito. preferred the chicken. Also didn't care for the sauce.

Instead of using rotisserie chicken, I put the spices, chicken, and a can of roasted tomatoes into the pressure cooker. The resulting shredded chicken in the taquitos was excellent!

I just made the taquitos and my husband says they were better than any restaurant. They were a little dry but I think I had too much chicken. We ate wtih salsa and it was great! Next time I would probably put more green chilies.

Made the taquitos for dinner just about an hour ago. I didn't try the sauce or the burritos. The taquitos came out really good... It seemed like it needed something else though for more flavor.. If anyone has any suggestions- Please post! Over-all, very fast & easy to make. I give it a B.

I made both of these recipes together & they were very good. I'd say the taquitos are the real standout though (I came back just now to get the recipe again. I didn't have any rotisserie chicken, so I poached some boneless, skinless breasts in chicken broth with some smashed garlic cloves in it. I'd say the key to this dish is to be sure the chicken is well seasoned before you start rolling up the taquitos. We eat them with the dipping sauce & some sour cream & guac.

I fixed the burritos and sauce and it was very good. I made it just like the recipe and it was great! I will be fixing this again very soon.
