I gave this recipe 5 stars because of the sauce's taste. Very good. However, I agree that it is NOT THICK ENOUGH !! I am not a chef. Doesn't the Food Network staff read these reviews??? Why can't they EVER post a comment to correct a minor recipe error....or make suggestions??? My son suggested using corn starch, but I was hesitant. I think that most of the loyal Food Network reviewers would appreciate an occasional comment from the food staff. Claire Robinson, who I saw in Atlantic City, says she looks at every comment posted about her recipes. I am not sure if she posts responses, but people spend money on these recipes. Wouldn't it be a novel concept fot the staff to be more interactive...

This recipe was a homerun for me and my family. After reading the reviews, I decided to make a small change to the recipe by adding a tablespoon of flour to the oil, onion and spice mixture before adding the wine and stock. This gave just enough weight to the sauce. The flavors in the sauce melded well with the pork chops. I will definitely serve this one up on a regular basis. Thank you, Rachel. for helping me spice up my weekly dinner routine!

i thought this was not one of rachel's better meals. my chops were very tender but the sauce was very mediochre. i think my own pizzaiole sauce is better. maybe it's too much fennel seed. i don't know... i just didn't dig it. on the other hand my boyfriend loved and took home the extra sauce to put over rice for during the week. i won't make this again

Enjoyed meal, but sauce was too thin and although I enjoy spicey food, sauce was too hot. Recommend cutting red wine, chicken stock & pepper flakes by half.

These pork chops were easy to make, very tender and delicious. The sauce had a great flavor even though it never came close to thickening, we just sopped it up with nice crusty bread. I plan to serve the leftovers with rice.

I made this dish as a dinner for my boyfriend and although I overcooked the chops, the sauce was so gooood. I used it for a few more days to top rice and anything else I ate.

I read some of the other reviews before tryng this recipe, and decided to try a few improvisations. I cooked the pork chops in the broiler, and thickened the sauce on the stove while I waited for them to be done (10 minutes. I also used Barilla tomato sauce, cabernet sauv, and skipped the chicken stock, which made it less watery but still smelled (and tasted delicious. I just had a salad on the side, which made this meal quick and easy...and VERY delicious... not to mention inexpensive and perfect for one - I'll have leftovers tomorrow! I'm definitely making this again. :

This recipe is absolutely delicious but it needs to cook much longer than the "30 minutes".

You can make it as stated ingredient by ingredient but you have to let it simmer much longer. Then it is absolutely out of this world!

Followed the recipe, but the "sauce" was actually a soup. The dish looked great on the show, but the recipe needs to be reworked! Will not be making this again.
