I'm always skeptical of Rachael Ray's recipes because I'm never happy with the outcome and this recipe was no different. The burgers were difficult to eat and the red pepper paste made the buns soggy. It ended up being a knife and fork sort of burger. If you're a vegetarian I guess this recipe is an okay burger replacement but if you're a regular meat eater, this mushroom burger won't do it for you. I'll just stick to beef or turkey burgers next time.

This was unbelievably delish! It was also a user friendly recipe, colorful, and healthy. I'll definitely keep this one on file.

This was a total success! I had never made portobello burgers before, but it turned out so good. My friend who requested it for our dinner party was blown away! I served it with roasted veggies and home-made sweet potato fries from a Food Network Magazine recipe. Also, I second that the roasted red pepper spread is crucial to this sandwich. It is easy to make and it brings the whole sandwich together. I roasted my own peppers under the broiler instead of using jarred, and it turned out good as well.

I have made this recipe many times over the last couple of years. I'm not a vegetarian, but sometimes I'm not in the mood for meat and I love portobellos. Its very simple. The flavors of the mushroom and the Rosemary go well together. And the Roasted Red Pepper paste is a good recipe to keep in your back pocket. Its a good spread for most any sandwich and doesn't much more than that random gar of Roasted Red Peppers sitting in your cabinet.

I have made the Portobello Burgers many times for vegetarians as well as meat eaters and all have enjoyed this recipe. A couple of things ? please take a few minutes to make the wonderful roasted pepper paste because it is easy and quick to make. Also, top the mushroom with the smoked mozzarella cheese because this flavor along with the paste, spinach leaves and red onions rock this burger. I served the burgers with the suggested sides, tomato and onion salad and the Pasta Salad with Ricotta Salata and Broccolini (I used Feta cheese instead of the Ricotta Salata. This is definitely a crowd-pleasing meal ? enjoy!

I made this for my significant other, who is an avid meat-lover. For sides, I had a three bean salad and new potato crisps. We both loved it. Great textures and totally satisfying.

I made this last night for myself. I LOVE mushrooms and the smoked mozzerella was delicious with them. I thought the balsamic tasted a little overpowering though. The red pepper paste is delicious if heated up before spreading on the sandwich. I would make this again but next time just brush olive oil and steak seasoning on the mushrooms.

The preparation was very easy. The mushrooms came out wonderfully moist and flavorful. The roasted peppper paste was a little disappointing in taste. I would definitely do th mushrooms again but not the paste.
