Looked up recipes yesterday for a portabello burger and found this one. I had one mushroom I wanted to cook so I modified for one and only marinated and grilled the mushroom and added cheese on top. It was VERY good. Will be doing this again and will probably try the rest of the recipe with it.

This recipe was sooo good. I made it with burgers for my fiance because he's a meat man and it turned out great. Very filling.

I modified this slightly because I didn?t have buns but had pitas. Followed the recipe except instead of grilling I chopped up the marinated mushrooms and stir fried them. Warmed up some pitas and slathered the red pepper paste in them along with the mozzarella and mushrooms. Wow! What a great flavor! This will be a regular menu item at my house. I think I will reduce the balsamic vinegar just slightly the next time around though since it is so strong.

This tastes like the most fancy dinner with so many layers of flavor, but it is so easy to create.

The red pepper paste really puts this dish over the top. Don't be afraid to really pile it on.

I really enjoyed this but my husband did not. I think the "burger" title may have confused his taste buds:

I made this for my boyfriend and I for dinner and it was sooo good! Marinating the mushrooms makes a big difference and I even marinated chicken with the same recipe for the burger and it was soo yummy! The Roasted Pepper Paste is also really good on sandwiches.

Yum! This was delicious. The pepper sauce was a huge hit with my husband as well as myself. It was very easy to prepare, and we had a great meal. I will definitely use this recipe again!

these were really good - the roasted red pepper sauce is key! I roasted my own peppers, like others, and really feel like this made a difference (processed the peppers when they were still hot, and the spread was warm and yummy!

Excellent healthy meal on a whole grain roll with part skim mozarella.

    Highly reccomended.
