I first saw this soup on 30mins like 2 years ago during a thanksgiving show. When I hosted my first thanksgiving for my family (talk about being under a lot of pressure . I wanted to try new and different things that year. Rachael?s soup was easy to make and was beautiful to present. I cook this soup year around when I want to make something a little extra special. Plus people always think I took hours making it. (It takes a total of 10-15 mins TOPS

I was disappointed with this recipe. It was easy to make but I think there is WAY too much thyme and too much cream. The thyme overpowered any pumpkin taste at all. I added a pinch of cinnamon and it tasted a little better. To anyone planning on making this, I would cut the cream and the poultry seasoning/thyme in half.

I love this soup! It is so easy to make! The Cran-Apple Relish is a delicious compliment to the pumpkin soup. Will be making again and again.

This has become a Thanksgiving regular in our house. It is the best yet, and I don't usually even eat pumpkin pie. The cranberry relish adds a special something to it.

So easy, and several of my guests said it was the 'best soup they've ever tasted', I would have to agree. A really nice and tasteful starter to the big dinner. The apple spice relish with hot sauce gives a nice and surprising kick to the traditional pumpkin. I've recommended to all my friends.

Rachel Ray, you outdid yourself with this one. Little bit long on the prep time but worth every second of it. We LOVED it.

I've made this a few times now, and it is so good. Everyone that ate it felt a little out of their comfort zone, but nobody was leaving any behind...they loved it. I added a little ginger too, and exra thyme (in addition to the poultry seasoning it called for, and I felt it helped. This will be a regular treat for our family.
