I just made this recipe and think it is very good, but still something is missing. I used a whole package of egg noodles (12 oz.
instead of 8 so that was a little much (not recipe's fault, mine. I do think next time I will add another parsnip. Another reviewer used poultry seasoning on the chicken before adding it and that sounds like a good idea. Guess I'll keep making adjustments each time I try it because you sure can't beat it time-wise.

Was looking for a quick chicken noodle soup and this fit the bill. I was a little nervous about the fresh dill because I never used it before, but it really worked well. It was a little salty, but I think that was my fault for going a little heavy when I was cooking out the veggies.

I made this quick chick noodle soup for the family that I take care of during the week, as a nanny. It was so simple, quick and easy and it was delicious. Two of the girls said it was perfect and one said it was a little too salty, but that's ok cuz I thought so too, using chicken bouillon cubes over homemade or storebought stock. Is there any stock that's not overly salty? That's my question?

In the words of the woman herself, yum-o! This soup was hearty, flavorful, and (most importantly done in a jiff. I was especially pleased with the parsnips; they were incredibly velvety. A couple things I added that weren't called for were cinnamon, nutmeg, and a lemon sliced in half (stole those ideas from Anne, just tossed 'em in after I added the stock. They gave the soup brightness and warmth that were unbelievable! This soup easily earned a spot for itself in my recipe box, and I doubt it will leave anytime soon.

What an awesome recipe! Quick and easy and FLAVORFUL!!! I simply omitted the dill and parsley, but did put in the bay leaves (adds so much taste and replaced the parsnip with italian squash ...gotta work with what you have! THANK YOU!

One of best tasting and easy chicken noodle soup recipes. Made this years ago when Rachel first made it on 30 minute meals. Still my go to for chicken soup.

I gotta hand to you Rachael, that is a pretty darn good recipe. It's quick, not many ingredients, and tasty. I did make it with the frozen egg noodles, but other than that, followed it fairly closely. I will make it again, as every drop disappeared. Grazie!

My husband told me our daughter was under the weather. On my way home I picked up the ingredients and was able to pull this together quickly. Very tasty and will make it again.
