It was a lot of work but my family really liked it. My child who hates all vegetables was eating pickled onion! The only substitution I made was chipotle peppers for the dried because it was what I had on hand.

I have made this many times. Great stuff, and the leftovers are good for many things. I have adapted it for crock pot too.

Absolutely delicious! I didn't make the pulled pork, had shredded chicken on hand, so I used that for the meat. Thanks Rachael. Hearty and authentic.

Made this weekend and it is delicious. Tastes very authentic mexican. I couldn't fine dried ancho chiles, but bought dried chili negron and they worked very well. Kids and husband thought it was great.
