I added a little more meat and kraut as my family likes the tastes of both. A big hit at my house.

I have made this recipe about seven times since I first saw it. I don't usually have ALL of the ingredients on hand, so instead of making a trip to the store, I have substituted: plain bread crumbs with caraway seeds for rye bread, pastrami for corned beef, and smoked Gouda for Gruyere. I actually think it tastes better with a smoked cheese. Will continue making this for all my friends who swear they would hate but end up loving it.

We loved this! It sounds strange, but it's a nice change of pace. Didn't have the rye bread, so I made a topping with 12 pieces melba toast crushed, 2 TBLS melted butter, 1 TBL brown sugar, and 1 tea. sriracha hot sauce. Delish!

I just finished eating this and thought it was great! I didn't drain the sauerkraut and also subbed the pasta with whole wheat. The most glowing review would be that both of my toddlers cleaned their plates! We'll definitely make it again.

I saw Rachel make this on 30 Miunte Meals and, since I love reubens, I had to give it a go. It was great! I'll be making it again soon; if you like reubens you'll love the flavors in this dish.

I liked (didn't LOVE this recipe. I subbed pastrami because I don't like corned beef. Used all the cheese, but a smaller amount of kraut because I'm not a huge fan. I thought it had a lot of flavor, but it can be overpowering and can only eat a small portion, which says a lot because I'm a huge pasta eater!

My husband and i decided to try this recipe after seeing Rachel make it on her show. We bought all the ingredients and made it exactly the way the recipe said, well minus the topping, hubby didnt find that part appealing. We spent a lot more money then we would have liked getting the specific cheeses named and we really feel we were ripped off after making this. It made our apartment smell very unappetizing. I held out hope that it wouldnt actually taste that way but we were both very disappointed to find it tasted as horrible as it smelled. I enjoy a good Ruben sandwich but i dont feel this mac & cheese was a good representation. We've had great success with other Rachel Ray dishes but this one was a complete miss.

I made this recipe because my long-time boyfriend is a self-proclaimed 'Reuben junkie". I went shopping for the exact ingredients bc I wanted it to be true to the recipe (at least the 1st time. Here comes the one downside to this recipe: the cost. With the Gruyere cheese (along w/swiss and cheddar I was a little shell-shocked that I was actually spending this on one dish. Now to the positives: it tasted AMAZING (even to me a non-Reuben lover, it was super filling so the casserole lasted about a week (even with the midnight snacking. I have since made this recipe for a dinner party w/my parents and even my picky "that-looks-weird-what-IS-that!?" father LOVED it. -This time to supplement my budget I used the pasta I had on hand (rotini and skipped the gruyere all together (though my beau missed it. Instead i supplemented that "third"of cheese with extra sharp cheddar. Good luck and happy cooking!!!
