This was incredible. Everyone loved it! If anyone does not like this then they do not like Reubens. It was delicious

My fiance and i love sauerkraut and this recipe was outstanding....he loves mac n cheese that's all he ever wants to eat and he's the king of the boxed kind. I let him have his glory. This recipe is to die for.

I've made this recipe 3 times now and tweaked it some because of the cost of the gruyere and also the mustard/seasoning levels. It has fast become my family and friends favorite dish I make!

I spent about $35 on this which I thought was way too much. It does make a lot so for 2-3 people try half the ingredients. Surprised to see so many 5 stars here. It definitely tasted good (with the exception of the tough corned beef but it didnt blow my socks off!

Enjoyed this very much because it was so cheezy but every bite reminded me of a reuben. I was worried my 5 and 2 year olds wouldn't like it but they ate it up.

This week, I spent a total of about 3 1/2 hours and $40. on a Food Network chef's recipe for lasagna. Afterwards, we were so disappointed, especially since I'd tried numerous other recipes by this other [nameless] chef with great results and, after 30 years experience cooking, I'm considered one of the more accomplished cooks in our group by my friends.
Still, we were in the mood for pasta, so I noticed this recipe. It took about 20 minuites to make (By the time the pasta was cooked, everything else was prepped to get tossed together. and cost about $17. And we liked it about ten times as much as the previous experiment!
I did go in with some reservations: I was afraid the amount of mustard was too high and would overpower the entire recipe, and the idea of tossing sauerkraut into a pasta dish just seemed... odd. Still, I kept the faith, made it exactly as the recipe stated, and we both loved it.
I served it with Rachel's Shredded Salad and her "French" salad dressing, and we were two happy bunnies. What a flavorful, fresh dinner!

I totally would. This combines two of our families favorite meals, mac n cheese and reubens. It was so amazing! I will make this again and again!! I didn't have rye bread so I used sourdough and it was fabulous. I could go on and on about this recipe, but I'll let you try it for yourself and see how amazing it is!!!

This dish was a very creative twist on 'normal' mac n cheese. Beware though, our chunky reuben strips (maybe 1/4" x 1/4" x 1" were a bit chewy and tuff. I guess more meat isn't always better - who knew!? Otherwise pretty darn tasty. The rye bread really brought all the other ingredients together.
