Simple, easy and delicious. Made it twice in one week. Did use chopped scallions instead of white onion as garnish on top. GREAT

Thanks, Rachel Ray - the recipe on FoodNetwork.com and the recipe on the show are totally different! There are missing ingredients that are key to the dish.

Winter Supper so good.
Tastes wonderful. Warms you. Fills you up with the feelings, smells and feeling of a warm Winter kitchen. The only ingredient I changed was to decrease the tomato sauce to 1-8 oz. can and replace that liquid with morte broth. Freshly ground black pepper to taste. Wonderful !!!
Thanks, Rachel, Peter and Carol Young San Diego (yes, we get "winter" out here, too.

Very good and easy to prepare. Don't over cook or the soup becomes mushy.

i hoped that we'd enjoy this, but i guess bread soup isn't for us. the soup base was good, but once the bread was added, the texture was not appealing.

This was so delicious, I made it on a cold winter night, and it was the perfect meal! I used fresh storebought ciabatta bread instead of stale italian, and it was great. Highly recommend this hearty meal!
