I used cherry tomatoes instead of grape, and shallots instead of scallions. I brushed the crostini with EVOO before the garlic and it kept them from getting too soggy. The tomatoes get juicy after roasting so I let them sit in a colander for 5 minutes.. Excellent recipe that I plan on making again next week for a party.

Quick, easy, and always a success as an appetizer. Thanks Rachael!

the roasted tomatoes were tasty, but they were so juicy, that when they were mixed with the herbs and put on the bread, it was too watery and the bread turned to mush quickly. the tomatoes were too large for bites, so I would recommend cutting the tomatoes in half before roasting.

I chopped the garlic and added it to the roasted tomatos after rubbing the bread with it, which gave it an extra kick.

I love Rachael and her recipes! And this one doesn't disappoint! I did make a few changes the second time I made this. I added flat leaf parsley for one. Also, my husband and I are huge garlic lovers so I used garlic infused evoo when roasting the tomatoes and brushed the planks with it after toasting it. It definitely had more of a garlic flavor that way! A great recipe and certainly worth a try!

I watch the shows on Food Network for ideas for others rather than just having the mundane. When I mixed this up and put it in the bread plank. The look too me was that there were too much herbs. I added fresh mozzarella and my husband just loved it! He couldn't get enough and asked me to make again. Thanks Rachel!

I think I should have let the tomatoes cool slightly - I used cherry and my topping was a bit to "saucy". I felt like I should have had some crushed garlic in with the tomatoes, etc. I added the flat leaf and skipped the mint because I remember Racheal added it on the episode I watched.
