Easy to follow recipie and simple procedures - the sauce volume was excessive, and too sweet for my taste, and some guests informed me of spiked glucose readings the next day. I'd cut back on the preserves or balance with additional apple cider vinegar (leaving the balsamic at its original measure. All in all, the sauce was very complimentary in flavor and texture. The sausage balls were flavorfull as well, but hard to keep together. I ended up mixing the crumbling sausage balls with the sauce, and serving in lettuce wraps. No guest complaints on presentation or taste.

Yummy and easy. Plus, a good way to use up sage.

The sauce deserves 5 stars but the "bites," just 3, so i gave it 4 stars. My company ate a lot of them, but I'm much more critical.
You can get by with half the recipe of sauce, but then you wouldnt have the extra for chicken in the week.
Problem is that the bites are baked so they dont get pretty unless rorated several times while baking. So, it takes longer than advertised and requires that you watch and shuffle. It's not a big deal unless you want each side to look pretty and have a caramelized crust.
BUT, the overall dish is yummy and I'd make them again and again.
Trying the sauce on chicken tonight.

This recipe is a real crowd-pleaser. Adults, kids, everyone loves these. They hold well in a crock pot on low, but they disappear so fast that it's not necessary! Consider making a double batch.

I've made the recipe once with and once without the sage. Because the sausage and breadcrumbs are so highly seasoned, I don't find that it adds much so I will continue to omit it.

these were fairly easy to make- i'm not the best at rolling them into cute little bites but nevertheless, everyone i made them for LOVED them! the dipping sauce is to die for! these are perfect for any party or just a great appetizer to make and enjoy!

Well, EVERYONE ate them and raved about them at the party I took them to. I was not so impressed. There seemed to be WAY more sauce than sausage bites. I also was not sure about the breadcrumbs, it seemed to add a gritty texture that I did not care for.

No leftover. These sausage bites were a huge hit at my New Year's Eve Party. Fantastic. Will make this one again & again.

EVERYONE loved this dish. It was really easy and the dip was great. I just wished they would have been a little more tender. Any suggestions? I also have lots of the dip left and nothing to do with it. I think I will just make more??

These were very easy to make and DELICIOUS. The sauce was wonderful too. TIP: definitely remember to turn them in the oven about halfway through.

As usual, Rachel comes up with a great recipe. This is easy to make, has easy ingredients and very yummy. The dipping sauce is enough for 2 batches of sausage balls. Or you can use it on another meal like grilled chicken kabobs!
