I made the salisbury steak. I over did the salt :( which took away from the taste. I also used very lean ground beef. I think this would be better with some goode old 80/20 with nice fat and moisture content. I liked the gravy. I am not a huge onion fan so i reduced the amount of onions in the gravy to half. I will try again and only use minimal salt.

Parsnip mashed potatoes -- 5 star. Make them just like the recipe says -- there is no butter and they are amazing.

This was really good. We made only the Salisbury Steak but that combined with the onion gravy is awesome. I'm adding this one to the regular rotation.

I made this recipe tonight and my husband loved it. More importantly, I liked it. I don't eat red meat so I made it with ground turkey and substituted the beef stock with chicken stock. It turned out great and my husband wants to make it at the Fire Station. I also added bella mushroom to the gravy, it was a nice touch. I am definately saving this recipe. I wasn't hard to make.

luv this recipe!! I luv this salisbury steak recipe w the mushroom gravy from her other salisbury steak recipe. but this recipe calls for gating the onion, think that makes the world of difference. now i grate my onion for any ground meat recipes. I always use cream or at least half and half for all mashed potatoes, makes them so much better. I switched turnips for parsnips and added garlic salt and white pepper, turned out great!

The potatoes were yummy! Parsnips add a nice sweet taste to the potato. Didn't make the steak, went with a meatball recipe in the shape of the steaks because I had leftover tomato sauce from previous night's meal.
