The croutons are definitely the highlight! (I make my own sourdough, so double delicious! The dressing I'm not sure is my very favorite, I might find a slightly more indulgent one, but I will always, ALWAYS use this crouton recipe for my Caesars.

I usually love Rachel Ray's recipes, but was a bit disappointed in the croutons. Wayyyyy too much pepper and, surprisingly, not much garlic flavor. It won't be replacing my long-time crouton recipe that my family begs me to make.

It was too bitter, the only good thing was the croutons. I trashed it after having a serving.

I have just finished eating the most delicious croutons I have ever had! Usually croutons are something I tolerate, because they are nothing but pieces of dry bread with a little seasoning on them, and who gets excited about that? Trust me, no matter what salad you use them on, these croutons will elevate it from good, to GREAT! Add in the fact that making them is super easy, and you have gone from GREAT to SUPER MAGICAL TASTY IN THE EXTREME croutons! Just imagine adding shrimp or grilled chicken...

I made this on the weekend for a friend's bday dinner. I omitted the anchovies and used HP instead of Worcestershire because a couple of us are vegetarian. I found the dressing far too lemony, so I added a little more oil and an egg yolk and it leveled out quite nicely after a few hours in the fridge. I had already bough a rosemary foccaccia loaf before finding this recipe, so I made the croutons using that instead of sourdough. They were the best croutons I've ever had!! I might look for a better dressing recipe, but these croutons will be a staple at our house on weekends!

I did not make this entire dish, but only the dressing- and it was awesome. I used the dressing to pour over a spinach salad with crab cakes on top.... YUM. Perfect combo with the seafood ... will do again!!!!!

Yummy and super easy to make! Way better than buying bottled dressing. It was a little too lemony/tangy at first so I added more olive oil and let it sit overnight, turned out perfect. All my dinner guests enjoyed it. Croutons were a hit too!

(Note that this a vinagrette type dressing so if you're looking for a creamy ceasar that is commonly served in restaurants today, this isn't it.

We really enjoyed the croutons although I took prior reviewers advice and did not add the cheese before baking them. Just added extra into the salad in the end. We were not terribly fond of the dressing. It was OK but not great.

The croutons were AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't use the cheese because I didn't have it on hand, and I used dried basil in the oil mixture... This is definitely a keeper, everyone loved the croutons... I used romaine lettuce, diced chicken, store bought cesar dressing, and the croutons...Everyone had seconds and there were no croutons left..... Loved It, Loved It... Loved It.. Will make again and again and again.
