I love this recipe and I make it a lot. I make a few substitutions to make it a bit healthier. I use turkey sausage instead of regular and this last time I used cauliflower instead of potato and it was delicious! I use more carrot too, but only because I love carrots and one doesn't seem like enough for a whole pot of soup. This is my favorite recipe and I freeze half to have on a cold day or just when I feel like some great soup!

This was fantastic! I added one extra carrot, just because we like them. I also blanched the broccoli rabe and then simply added it in with the stock. Blanching it will take the bitterness out. It was really delicious, not difficult, and I will for sure make it again!

Just made this soup and I also didn't use potatoes. Great soup, I will save the recipe and make it again!

This was very quick and tasty. I just added some corn starch and half n half not much just to thicken it up ... nice comforting soup just what I needed on this dreary rainy day!

This is the best soup I have ever made. I usually do not like the bitter taste of bocolli rabe but in this soup it adds the right amount of taste and texture. I make it alot in the fall and winter. Fresh bread with the soup and you have a great meal. Thanks Rachel. Keep those recipes coming.

Wonderful! I had to substitute kale for the broccoli rabe as well and it is so good.

Wonderful! My local grocery store didn't have the broccoli rabe so I used kale instead. We really enjoyed it and its a keeper!
