I used sweet turkey sausage and it was still very good.

This was an excellent recipe to use for a "warmer-upper" on a cold day. I did not have broccoli rabe on hand, so I substituted kale, and added 1/2 teaspoon of fresh grated nutmeg and just a hint of ground allspice.

This is a really great recipe. For a more complex and deep flavor, I added some fennel seeds and red chili flakes. Also, I used hot Italian sausage instead of sweet.

I thought this soup was so good and easy. I actually used spinach instead of brocoli rabe, and it turned out great. I would maybe add the beans after the broth, since they are already soft I think they kind of broke up. Tasted great though!

My husband really loved this hearty soup. I made a few minor changes. For example, I used spinach instead of the broccoli rabe and I added country noodles to the soup. As always, it tastes better on day two.
