    THIS SOUP WAS AMAZING!! I subsituted spinach for the broccolli rabe. my kids love soup, beans and sausage, so this was a big hit for them. enough for a meal. great flavor, if you use spicy turkey sausage.

    Couldn't find Broccoli Rabe in June here, so I made it with mustard greens. I bet it is better with the broccoli rabe, though. But still yummy.

    I made this soup for lunch today and it was fantastic and perfect for a cold winter's day. I used hot sausage because that's what I had in the freezer. I also couldn't find broccoli rabe in my grocery store so I used Kale and it was fantastic. This soup is so easy to make and everyone loved it!

    I saw this soup made on the show - she smashed half a can of the benas to make the broth thicker. This isn't mentioned in the recipe. I also add an extra can of beans and used a package of chopped frozen spinach instead of the broccoli rabe - I couldn't find it in the store. It was still excellent - make sure to use the cheese on top when serving.

    This was wonderful! I used kale instead of the rabe, and it tasted spot on with my favorite "zuppa toscana" at a big Italian restauant. This was easy, fast, and tasty. It was a real treat on a dreary winter day. This will be a favorite recipe for years to come!
