These mushrooms are restaurant quality deliciousness! Just like you would find in a steakhouse. You must try!

I used dried thyme and it's a nice flavor addition, but I agree with the previous reviewer that the wine really isn't necessary. It hides the flavor of the mushrooms which you really don't want to do unless you don't like mushrooms, but if you didn't like mushrooms you probably wouldn't be looking at a recipe to saute them, would you?? :

Good as is but I liked it even better before the wine.

Absolutely Wonderful! Super easy to make & not a lot of ingredients. I used dried thyme instead of fresh to save money & it tasted great. Husband loved it & said they're the best mushrooms he has ever had...great job Rachel Ray!

These wonderful mushrooms are so handy for guests with a glass of wine. Take no time to make - can be made with white mushrooms as well. This recipe is a family favorite!

The next time I make this recipe I plan to add 4 minced garlic cloves and 5 T chopped shallots for every pound of mushrooms.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this simple recipe was. Even my husband, who is not a big mushroom fan, loved it and said I could make it again anytime. I used baby bella mushrooms, which I think may be the same as crimini mushrooms. I used pino noir for the red wine, although I used part water in its place because I was afraid of using too much wine. I think myfear was unfounded because it was absolutely perfect.

Fabulous recipe from Rachael. And I used regular old button mushrooms. It was still out of this world. Added some garlic. The bowl was emptied in the blink of an eye. Will definitely make for the holidays!!!!!!!

Very easy recipe. I was full from everything else I ate, but I had to finish these mushrooms. The flavor is rich and hearty. Perfect for a side dish with a steak or on their own.
