I don't know what the hype is about this recipe. The sauce was AWFUL! I couldn't get the metal can taste out of it no matter what I added. The sauce ruined the entire thing!

I loved it. Would have given 5 stars but my family asked me not to serve it again unless I added sausage.

My family is about to begin the 3rd month of our kitchen renovation and believe me, we are craving homemade dishes. In anticipation of this, I prepared and froze a dozen casseroles to defrost and bake in my Nesco Roaster so we wouldn't rely on fast food during the entire experience. I had prepared this Fake-Baked Ziti to the point of topping the casserole with the Bechemel sauce, then froze it (I had seen the show and mixed the Asiago cheese into the sauce, rather than sprinkle it on top. Just before baking, I topped it with sliced fresh mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, then baked till the cheese was melted and the casserole heated through. What a hit!! And so appreciated for it's heartiness (I had included turkey Italian sausage with the red sauce and homey quality, too. We just loved it. I would absolutely make it again, when (and if? my kitchen is EVER completed. Can't wait to cook again!!

Took less than 30 minutes and it was so yummy. I cut down the parmesean and used more mozarella per husband request. Everyone wanted seconds so this was a hit!

It took me less than 30 minutes, and it was delicious, the only change I'll do next time is to add some ground meat.

It took me a bit longer than 20 minutes to get this together, but it was pure heaven! It has become a family favorite. Thanks, Elsa.
