This recipe was fantastic! It's definitely a new go-to for my husband and me. I think there was a little too much dressing but I just didn't use it all. Also, two minutes on each side made my fish slightly more cooked than I wanted but you live and learn. I would definitely use less five spice next time, too. Maybe just one teaspoon of each that and the grill seasoning. I used the lettuce this time for the salad but I might try napa cabbage next time.

I had to refind this recipe -- lost my original copy somehow -- anyway, was telling my sister about it and how much my husband and I loved it and am making it for her on Saturday -- love the tuna and the salad dressing -- would not change a thing.

GREAT RECIPE!!! I had some fresh Ahi tuna which needed to be used. This recipe seemed to fit the bill, till I realized I did not have most of the ingredients on hand. I had no way to get what I needed here in Nigeria, where i currently live. We were in the middle of national strike and not allowed to leave our homes... I had to be creative in doing this , and had to use many substitutions... No rice vinegar, so used apple cider and a pinch of sugar, also added a entire tube of wasabi, with a hint of juice from rajas de chilies jalapeño, and some tabasco, hot mustard powder. no cucumber or radish on hand either, so used the carrots from the rajas.. I also toasted some sesame seeds... sprinkled this over the greens with the carrots, drizzled the vinaigrette over the fish and bed of green... as we say in sicily were i am from this was ¨Delizioso¨! Grazie RR, per una ricetta nuova grande da portare a casa in Sicilia!! Perfetto... CIAO CIAO

YUM. We had left over tuna steaks and made this salad. The vinaigrette was perfect with just a hint of wasabi. I used regular skinned cucumbers, and I regret this since it was too bitter compared to an english cucumber. Keep that in mind!

LOVE at first taste. Was looking specifically for a vinaigrette that used wasabi paste. I tried this with mahi-mahi. Increased the wasabi amount quite a bit and cut back oil by 3/4 replacing with 1/2 cup water. Switched from EVOO to canola oil so I don't have remember to take out of the fridge 1/2 hr before using (the olive oil thickens to much when chilled. Have used it on a wrap I made with rare roast beef and greens. Have now made it many times since. I have quadrupled amount since I want it on-hand always. Tried making it with wasabi powder which don't recommend as the powder doesn't have the heat nor the same flavor as paste.
