This was such a great recipe! The flavors were even better than I expected, my whole family ate every bite (and that's saying something.

The only thing that scared me about the recipe was taking an expensive cut of meat and putting it into a "screaming hot" pan. I was afraid I'd ruin it. I followed the directions carefully and used the tips from other readers and Rachel's show. Be sure to use a nonstick pan, bring the steak to room temperature, be sure the pan is screaming hot with the oil and be sure to let it rest. I kept it on a plate and covered in foil for about 10-12 minutes. The steak was perfect, medium rare, just like a restaurant. Even though tenderloin is expensive, compared to eating this out, it's a bargain. Very easy, very fast and the steak really is perfect, the sauce is even better. Enjoy!

I have made this receipe several times and it has gone over great with friends/family. I like to broil my asparagus which tastes great too. Using a non-stick pan is key to get the nice brown carmel color.
