This is much better (and quicker if you grill the steak and sautee the scallops without all of the EVOO (has to be a full cup's worth on the show and vermouth. They just overpower the simple deliciousness of the surf and turf.

THE SCALLOPS WERE SWEET TO THE TASTE AND THE BEEF WAS TENDER AND WONDERFULLY FLAVORED. I ADDED AN 8oz CONTAINER OF FRESH MUSHROOMS, SLICED, TO THE BEEF AND SAUTED THEM ALSO. i DID NOT HAVE THE DRY VERMOUTH, I USED MARSALA COOKING WINE INSTEAD. BEST MEAL I EVERY MADE. MY HUSBAND ASKED HOW I FOUND THIS RECIEPE, I SAID, "RACHEL OF COURSE!"

I am not a fan of scallops, but made this recipe for my husband who loves them. He said they were great and I LOVED the steak & Manhattan sauce. I didn't have vermouth, so I used sherry instead. The surf and turf took less than 20 minutes to prepare and cook and was so worth it. I will definitely use this recipe again.

I made this meal last night for Valentine's day. It was very easy and tasted wonderful. My honey thought I had stopped on the way home and picked up food from a local restaurant. It was my great pleasure to say I made it myself. My only advice is to watch the scallops in the flaming hot pan. They will burn quickly. This is a keeper for our receipe book.

I made this recipe last night for my husband's Birthday/Valentine's Day. I have to say that this is one of the most phenomenal dishes I have ever made. My husband said the scallops were the best he ever had (quite a compliment considering he is a food snob. Thanks so much, it was delicious!

According to my husband anyway. This meal was easy and delicious. The steak was done perfectly and the sauce is wonderful.
The scallops are a little expensive where I live, but worth the splurge for a special occasion. I will make the steak and sauce on a regular basis.
I will definately make this again and again.

I made this for my husband and I for Valentines Day. It was delicious and I was able to prepare it very quickly! I had everything ready except the cooking and when my hubby called to say he was on the way...10 minutes...I started cooking the steaks and everything was ready as he walked in the door. I'll definitely do that one again!

Rather than going out for Valentine's Day, I made this recipe for my family and it was a huge hit.

It was a very simple recipe, but the flavors were fantastic. The meal was fairly light, but heavy on presentation.

It was easy to prepare and I plan to use it again to entertain friends.

If you prepare the ingredients ahead of time, it is easily prepared in 30 minutes!

    Great Recipe
