    SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Followed recipe exactly except:
    * Did not use olives because I did not have any
    * Tripled the amount of minced garlic in yogurt dip
    * Made half a "copy" of the marinade spices and added to yogurt dip, but omitted the steak seasoning
    * Added a little bit of lemon juice to marinade
    * Left yogurt dip mixture on counter to warm to room temperature

This was a very easy and tasty. I made it with lamb, chicken, and beef. I'll definitely make it again.

I used beef instead of lamb and my family really enjoyed this dish. Will definitely be added to our dinner menu rotation! Really nice flavors for the meat marinade. I did a little 'semi-homemade' action and used store bought tzadziki (sp? sauce and a box mix cous cous with pine nuts already added.

This was fantastic! Essy, healthy, etc. And to the woman form Texas...stop being such a crumudgeon. Doesn't matter whather Rachel had it wrong about what shisk-a-bob means. What matters is how good the recipe is. And it was great! (by the way, I'm an English teacher and very picky about semantics.

My family also just finished this dish and my husband and 2 toddlers all agreed that it was delicious! It was a super simple dinner to throw together. It was so streamlined too because with the pita as a holder that eliminated 4 dishes because we only used one to pile all of the food onto and everyone picked out what veggies and how much meat they wanted.

Thanks to the commenter that cleared up what the word shish really stands for. I hope you didn't get too bent out of shape though, because Rachel probably DID know what the term meant but was just using silliness to sell the dish. Most times she explains what the real term is of something but then puts her own personal spin on it.

    Sheesh kabob! ;o

Loved the kabobs! Did not make the couscous. The kabobs were so full of flavor and extremely easy to make. I changed it slightly by adding about 1 1/2 T of freshly squeezed lemon juice. We did not put the veggies on skewers, did them in a grill basket. I also made tzatzitki suace for the meat. They ROCK!!!! Making them for the second time this week.

Full of flavor, awsome spice mix. My family loved it; it was a bit on the spicy side for the young one but he ate it. The recipe was easy, completed in a snap. I will definately add it my aresnal!

I thought the seasoning on the meat was pretty good, but the couscous was really dry and bland. I would make it again but jazz up the couscous so it has more flavor.
