This was by far the best recipe we've tried from Food Network. We loved everything about it and have already recommended it to several people!

This recipe was awesome and I don't even eat beef! However, I don't have a problem making it for my husband and he said it was excellent. The rice was awesome! I actually added a few more ingredients and it actually turned out to be more like a spanish jambalaya (if there is such a thing. Regardless, it was yummo! I added a can of rotel and some sazon seasoning and it gave it lots of flavor. It did take a bit longer than expected, but it was worth the wait!

Saw this episode Friday night and I knew I had to make it for the weekend. The steak was ok, but the star of this show was definetly the rice. My rice took double the amount of liquid called for in the recipe so keep more on hand and add it as needed. Also this entire dish as written took me about 90 minutes to make, so it's definetly not a quick meal. The rice took about 45 minutes to make, there was about 15 minutes of chopping for the rice, and then just time to marinate the steaks, etc. I highly recommend the rice. That was the star of the show and the only part of this recipe that I would make again. For next time, I would add frozen peas and some cooked chicken as well and make it a paella. Overall the rice is delicious. I only gave this recipe 4 stars and not 5 becuase of the time it took to make and I didn't care for the steak portion.

The steak was very good but the spicy rice & shrimp was definitely the star of the meal. Great to take for lunch the nex
    t day too.

This was a fantastic meal--I just saw the episode from June in October and boy was I glad I did. I made dinner for my husband and I after the kids had eaten and been dropped off and picked up from various activities. When the kids saw the meal, they swarmed us and we had to fight them off to finish! They loved it (even though I forgot a couple of ingredients--and it was perfectly done within the 30 minutes!!

My husband and I were both REALLY impressed with this recipe. This was some of the most flavorful steak we'd ever had, and the avocado stacks and rice were great, too. This is a really great menu-all of the flavors really complemented one another.

I've never reviewed a recipe, though I always read them. This recipe was EXCELLENT from start to finish. I followed it almost exactly. My only changes were using frozen shrimp (great! and I didn't have the Queso Asado for the avocado-tomato stacks. Noone missed it. The flavors worked together so well. I highly recommend!
