My husband and I LOVED this recipe! It was easy to make, and it turned out beautiful, even prettier than on the picture. I didn't make the guacamole stacks with it, and it still filled us up! We ate the leftover flank steak on sandwiches the next day and they were awesome too!

I haven't tried to make the flank steak yet, but every time I make this rice dish, I get rave reviews and everyone asks for the recipe. I would highly recommend it. It is so simple and doesn?t take very long at all.

The dish had great flavor, and the contrast of the textures was perfect. Very filling and perfect with a good margarita!

Very flavorful, shrimp takes longer to cook and make sure to not overcook the steak. Goes nice with a salad

This is perhaps THE best meal I have ever prepared, thanks to Rachael Ray. I used top sirloin because it looked better than the flank steak at the store, and it was the same price. Had guests over and served this meal, and they just raved about it. And even though I was the cook, I couldn't help but give myself a pat on the back! I added chipoltes in adobo to the rice since I didn't have jalapenos, and some shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Instead of the avocado stackers, I just served sliced avocados topped with salt, pepper, lemon juice, olive oil and cilantro. It went perfectly with the steak and the rice. I'm telling you, this meal is AWESOME! Thanks, Rachael!!!

Made this meal in its entirety for Father's Day and boy was it a hit! I only made one change - I cut back on the hot sauce in the rice since it seemed like a little too much for us. The rice turned out wonderfully.
I also added a drizzle of raspberry balsamic vinegar to the guacamole stacks and discovered it tasted pretty good with the rice too!
This meal is definitely a keeper.

I made this for my husband and 2 of our friends. They NEVER stopped gushing about how great this meal was! I can't wait to make this again.

I loved this recipe. I've made it a couple of time without the steak though. I even made it for my mom and I usually don't make stuff for her becuase I'm not a good cook. It's really good!
