I ended up choosing this recipe because I had a TON of left over meat sauce that I needed to use up. I ended up using a 12 oz package of egg noodles instead of the broken lasagna and it was so yummy! I also shredded some fontina and used that to top the dish (with the parm and the white sauce of course! YUM! This was a quick dinner that the family LOVED :

I love the fact that this was so easy and quick and I didn't have to layer a lot of stuff. The kids liked it. I think it needed a little more umph with some more flavors. But I'd use it again!!

I agree with many of the other posters that, while a good start, this recipe needs a bit more oomph. A bit more onion, lots more garlic and it definitely needs mozzarella (lasagna without mozzarella? - What were you thinking Rachael?!. And the combination of a red sauce and a white sauce is excellent. But this is also a great recipe for throwing in whatever you have on hand - beef, pork, prosciutto, mushrooms, asiago cheese, etc. Sometimes I add some spinach and an egg to the ricotta or put the basil in the ricotta, instead of the sauce. It also works well with whole wheat lasagna. It definitely takes longer than 30 mins - it takes 20 mins just to cook in the oven - and you'll use lots of pots and pans and bowls. But this feeds an army very inexpensively, and a very happy army it will be.

Nice twist on the traditional lasagna. Next time I will skip the white sauce, nutmeg & cinnamon and add mozzarella.

My family loved this! And they have discriminating taste believe me. This is how a real Italian lasagna is made---it is Rachel Ray! Followed the recipe exactly. If you like this recipe, try lasagna bowls. Wonderful!

My family enjoyed it. The white sauce definitely put a wonderful twist to the regular lasagna. I made 1/2 the recipe and had 2 dishes full, lots of food. It did take me about 1 to 1 1/2 hours and lots of noodles, could be reduced, but for sure this is a keeper.

I did not like the cinnamon and would leave it out in the future. Normally Rachael Ray's recipes can be made in under 30 minutes but this took much longer. I also used oven ready lasagna noodles since that is what I had on hand and 1 lb was way too much.

Tasted great! It was the first time I made lasagna and I must say it was one of the best lasagnas my husband and I have had! But it did not take 30 minutes to make. It was closer to 1 hr - 1 hr 15 min total.
