Wow, this was truly, truly dreadful. I added a quarter of a pinch of cinnamon, and it was overpowering. You don't put cinnamon in LASAGNA! Cinnamon goes in Pastichio, but not lasagna. This also took significantly longer than 30 minutes start to finish. Do not waste your time and money on this recipe. Really bad.

The best lasagna ever had! As Rachel says...I will never layer a lasagna again. Hesitated the cinnamon and nutmeg...but used it and loved the taste... the flavor just popped! I cut the recipe in half and glad that I did. Also added a little sugar. I asked my husband to rate it within 5 stars...it was a 5.5! This recipe is a keeper!

According to my husband, this was "the best lasagna ever!!" I did add some mushrooms, olives, and sundried tomatoes to the sauce for added flavor, but the core spice recipe for this is amazing!! Be prepared, b/c this makes a HUGE amount of lasagna. I loved it, and so did the hubby (who is quite picky.

This recipe turned out great. I loved the hint of cinnamon in there. It's a good touch. I left out the nutmeg from the roux only because I'm not a huge fan of nutmeg. It definately made enough to feed an army and then some. The tomato sauce was somewhat bitter so I added pinch of sugar and I also added a little bit of canned sauce to make more sauce. Also I decided to saute the carrot and onion in the EVOO first and then added it to the hamburger because I don't think the carrot would have cooked down as much. Other than that a huge hit.

This was more time consuming than I would have liked. 1 pound of lasagna noodles would have been more than enough, and it seemed rather dry using 2 pounds and could have used more sauce. I was out of carrots and so omitted this ingredient, but it didn't seem to matter. I had enough for my largest baking dish, PLUS a smaller casserole. It was tasty but not my favorite.

Very good. However the sauce looked a little dry on TV so I used 1 pound of lasagna instead of 2. I was perfect, just about fit in my oval french white casserole dish. Easy and delicious!

I used ground beef and chicken. I cut the recipe in half. I also added some frozen spinach. Yummy comfort food.

This was fun to make and came out great...although it was a little less work than making a traditional lasagna, it still took a lot of pots and pans, but it was hit at my house ! I will make it again for sure.

Very good, I cut the recipe in half and it still made a large pan full. I took my time and baked it longer. I cook a lot but have never made lasagna because it seemed to time consuming, this recipe was perfect.

This was a great twist on traditional lasagne. My girls enjoyed it and went for seconds. It make a large amount, great dish when you are having company or unexpected guest. I added an extra can of tomatoes and only used ground beef. It was the first time i made a white sauce and my hubby loved it.
    Will definitely make this again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
