So easy and healthy. I recommend adding one can of rinsed black beans!

Loved this recipe, followed it exactly, except the recipe didn't ever say to add back in the bacon, I did add it back cause, well we love bacon ... My husband and I both agree that this is a soup that we would be proud to serve to guest...

My boyfriend (a real "meat and potatoes" kind of guy wasn't initially thrilled to hear that we were having soup for dinner...but boy, did this change his mind! He has never been so blown away by anything I've ever made, and I cook dinner every night! It was absolutely delicious and we ate it as leftovers for the next two days. Totally yummy and filling, and a piece of cake to make - it's a new menu staple for us! Thanks Rachael!

My family loves spicy food so I added almost the whole can of the chipotle peppers and the sauce. I couldn't find smoked mozzarella so I substituted grueyre cheese. It is a new requested dinner item! Thanks Rachael!

In the actual cookbook, the last sentence of the recipe: "Pass bowls of lime, red onions, cilantro, and the reserved bacon at the table to finish the soup."

Love every bite from the first to last bite added a dollop of sour cream right before serving and green onion slices and served with a salad and jalapeno cheese bread . But I stll cant figure out where the bacon comes in after it is fried and removed with slotted spoon. The recipe never says if you add back in to the soup, sprinkle on top after ladled into bowls or it was just a little flavor for the onion and garlic.Does anyone know???

This recipe is so quick and simple to make! I do agree with previous reviews, in that you should half the amount of chipotle. It still gives a strong yummy smoky flavor! I also omit the bacon, and often add a can of black beans! Serve with some fresh guacamole/chips and a side salad!

This soup is so good. It has a spicy kick without being overbearing and I took out the chicken and bacon steps and made it without......still delicious. Made it with grilled cheese on a rainy day and it couldn't have made me happier! You have to make this recipe!!!

I've been looking for a good tortilla soup recipe for a long time. I wanted something simple like my favorite mexican restaurant serves. This soup was easy and delicious. I did add a few sprigs of cilantro to the broth while the chicken was poaching. it was delicious!
