Was not as good as Rachel makes it sound, but my family did like it, and was lots of leftovers. I used Turkey Bacon as well, and I think that made it skimpy on the smokey taste.. will try regular bacon next time.

I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of adding cheese at the end and it was wonderful. When I read the reviews from many that said the meat mixture was runny I wasn't sure I wanted to try but it was great. I think perhaps many that found it runny must have used ground beef instead of turkey. Ground beef has much more fat so it would probably need to be drained. Also, I let my mixture simmer a bit with 1/2 cup of the 2 cups of broth and once that had simmered down I then added the flour and balance of broth. This allowed the veggies to cook more and I ended up with a very rich, thick sauce.

Overall great recipe, however I thought that it needed more paprika, salt and pepper. My mom's a vegetarian and this is a recipe her and my meat eating husband enjoyed together.

I had always had sheperd's pie made with ground beef. I like the ground turkey too. Nice for something a little different. The mashed potatoes on top are very good with the sour cream too! Glad I tried this recipe!

This is an easy and awesome recipe. My family and friends think I'm a culinary genius and always request it at pot-lucks and family gatherings. I'd never had shepherd's pie before I made this one and have since tried other imitations but none come close. I've made this at least half a dozen times now, give it a try, I can't say enough good things about it.

I have 2 children- one a picky eater and one who doesn't eat pork or beef. This recipe is their absolute favorite! I make it with 2+ lbs of turkey so we have leftovers for the next day. They beg me to make this - I love all the veggies in it!!

This is an amazing recipe!! My brother couldn't believe that I actually made this - he thought it was from a restaurant!
I left the sour cream out of the turkey base (as the thought of mixing the two grossed me out and put in half the amount of bacon and it was amazing. The sauce was runny, though, so I just added some cornstarch until it thickened. Brilliant, I will make this at least once a month! Thanks!!!
