I thought it was great, however i did make a few adjustments:

used about a pound and a quarter of ground turkey
added about a cup or more of canned black beans lightly mashed

besides that i went exactly by the recipe. I disagree with anyone that said this was too spicy or spicy at all. there was no spice - maybe the jalepeno i used was milder than they usually are. that said, everyone has their own tolerance to spice.

i didn't use the pepper jelly - although i think i might give it a try next time.

the patties were very moist. and with the added turkey and beans I ended up getting 6 big patties.

Sorry, Rach but for me these were just waaay too spicy and we love spicey food. Should i make them again, i'd use EITHER the individual spices OR the montreal seasoning. The combination of using both was a heartburn delight.

Wow! I'm a big beef-eating man, who's trying to lose the high-fat, high-cholesterol habits that I've had for 35 years. This turkey burger is as a good as any burger (including Rachel's smoky gouda beer burgers I've ever had. It has great zing from the serrano and tobasco, and we even lowered the calorie count (if you're concerned about that by using 100% whole wheat sandwich thins instead of the suggested kaiser rolls. FYI, I skipped the Cilantro and relish. I will make these again, and soon.

I made these on Monday and froze the leftover patties. I have eaten one everyday, including this morning for breakfast. They are so flavorful and moist. It's hard to believe that I am eating "healthy".

Made these tonight. They were fantastic!!! First bite had a huge burst of flavor and every bite got even better. I topped mine with a little avocado, mustard and a big slice of tomato. I also did what an earlier reviewer said and popped them in the oven for an additional 5 minutes or so, just to be sure they were completely cooked. Mine also happened to be a little smaller but very plump. When I bit into it, it was perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy. I'll definitely be making these burgers on a regular basis.

My husband and I are new to turkey burgers. We had a friend make some at a weekend gathering with nothing but turkey and some barbecue sauce. This recipe definitely delivers. It has a nice kick and really, really flavorful. We did not deviate from the recipe and is excellent as is. It is definitely a keeper in our home. I probably would not recommend it for younger children if they are sensitive to spice unless you plan on omitting the jalape?o. There were times I got a good kick. Two thumbs up!

I am a pretty healthy eater and try to make my family eat healthy too. Unfortunately, some of the meals I have made were tasteless and dry. These received rave reviews from everyone. They are full of flavor and the peppers give them additional moisture. I could eat these every week. If you like southwest food and you love turkey don't miss this recipe.

A bit spicy for my 2yo, but if I left out the jalapeno, it would be too sweet with the Sweet Pepper Jam (I get mine from TastefullySimple. But DH and I loved them. I am also losing weight with WW, and it was only 7pts with the cheese, and 1 extra point using one of those multigrain sandwich thins!

I've been making these for quite some time. I usually have most of the ingredients on hand...although I have never had the pepper relish. BUT, it's still AMAZING. My husband would eat these every week if I made them. They are now a staple in our home. Thanks!!!!
