I had a bit of trouble with this recipe, mostly with quantities. I don't think I ended with enough pesto to put in the sauce. We put 1/4 cup of parsley, same amount of basil. I wasn't sure how much bread crumbs to put, we added about 1/3 of a cup. Then I watched the video and you need to see it to know how much is needed. But it smells great and tastes good.

This was a big hit with my 10 year old and me. The meatballs were fun to make together and the sauce was so tasty and easy that I might say goodbye to canned sauce forever. Thanks for another home run Rachel.

Yumm-o! I made it with the sirloin, but then made it again with 1lb sirloin & 1lb spicy Italian sausage and I believe I'll be doing the 50/50 from now on. The sauce is delicious and so easy! I also ended up making smaller meatballs because 16 would have been HUGE, so I got about 30 out of the recipe. Great for freezing, too. Add this to your go-to recipe box, especially if you like more meatballs and sauce with your spaghetti. :

I did my on little twist of this recipe. I added the garlic and onion to the hamburger along with my own seasonings and BBQ sauce. I didn't need to the sause, but they were delicious and easy to make.

I haven't tried these yet but after watching the show, they have to be good. They would also make a good Halloween dish because they kind of look like worms coming out of the meatballs. I'm making them for Halloween dinner tomorrow.

We followed the recipe exactly and it turned out perfect. We ladeled some sauce into a shallow bowl and placed 2 meatballs in each and served with crusty garlic bread. The flavor from the pesto enhances both the meatball and the sauce. It has been added to the "everyone loves it" meal rotation!
