Sorry, but these did just not cut it. Waste of time and food! I made the meatballs and sauce according to the recipe and the flavor was terrible. Would not make again.

I thought I would have time to thaw my spinach but I got home late. I used two cans of del monte spinach, strained it and seperated per the recipe and it looked like it was going to be way too much. They were delicious. Everyone else who mentions cooking time is so right...none of the chicken was visible in mine so "golden brown" was not an option....so I just cooked them until they looked done. I found the sauce a little too bitter and added salt, more cucumber, and some garlic powder. I agree with someone else's comment that store bought might be a good option. Costco Tzaziki is pretty good!

It was great. I skipped most of the oil and the salt and it was still great! We ate in on flat bread and made a sandwich with it- made for a great meal.

The first time I made it it was awesome. The second time just average. I am not sure why. But I know the cook time is definately off. Maybe I guessed right the first time.

I made these for the first time two years ago for my Latin classes' Greek class party. I was worried that no one would like them because had had no previous experience with the recipe. Everyone loved them and I got a 100 on my part of the class party project. They begged me to make more for another class party. lol I made them again for my family and they also loved them and I've been making them about 7 times a year or more!!! The sauce is great with it, but since my family and friends love hot food, I add a little extra Cumin, Crushed Red Peppers, and Cayenne to it. Oh! Before I forget, the cooking time on this recipe, I believe, is actually the prep time. I cook mine for about 45 min to an hour because I make mine on the fatter side. I rotate them about twice during cooking so that they stay round and don't burn. Greaat recipe nonetheless!!!!!

i was very skeptical at first. it seemed like more spinach than meat and i was sure they were going to fall apart. they came out whole and tasting great!! I agree with another reviewer that it doesn't need the sauce. i think some store bought tzatziki would be better. damn good meatballs though!

I honestly didn't think my son would eat these with the spinach. I did a whole greek meal and my "fussy eater" son said, and I quote " I didn't think I liked greek food but I do! I loved the spinach and feta inside these. I would definitely make these again. They go good with greek potatoes and greek salad, with pita, hummus and tzatziki sauce.

I made these meatballs about 10x. When I was first preparing them, my boys were saying 'ill that looks nasty". Once they tried them, they loved and asked me to make them over and over again. I have added my personal touch and now call them Jen's chicken gyro balls.

I followed the recipe as written, but changed to a patty and grilled it on the BBQ pit instead. Put each patty in a wheat pita pocket and dressed it with the yogurt sauce and fresh spinach leaves with a touch of red onion. Yum! My husband who is usually very picky really liked the recipe.

I think I have made this recipe at least 80 times in the last couple of years. I use an ice cream scoop to portion out the meat. and then flatten them down so they are small patties.
they are terrific as a main course with the yogurt sauce. or the tazikie sauce I buy at Costco.
I also take them as "tailgate" nibbles - and serve them warm to room temperature.
there are never leftovers - so I quadruple the recipe!
