I found that this meal was $16 per person. To me it was pretty good. My husband didn't say anthing about it for the first 10 minutes, which I thought odd. Then he said, 'this is the best meal you've cooked in a long time'.

Since it was just the two of us, we saved 2 of the pork chops for another day. After eating 1 whole pork chop each, we found we were STUFFED. So we split the leftovers into 2 more meals.

Odd ingredients are still in the fridge -chorizo and manchego cheese.

I only had 2 pork chops in the freezer, so I had a lot of extra sauce which I put over pasta the next day with some shredded manchego on top.The chops were about 1 1/2 inches thick, so they turned out really great using this method. I, too, had uncooked chorizo, but I like that better. The cheesy rice from this episode is awesome, too.

My husband and I both enjoyed this dish and my husband thought it was quite funny that the meat had a meat sauce. I can never find the cooked chorizo like Rachel uses so I bought the uncooked kind and cooked it myself and then chopped it up and cooked it like her. I think next time I will just take off the casing before cooking and cook it up just like ground beef, this should speed things up and still taste just as good.

This meal is delicious and looks great presented on the plate! Looks and tastes like a meal you would pay big bucks for at a nice restaurant! Chops come out nice and moist. Sauce is great and the rice is delicious also. Took longer than 30 minutes to make all three things, but it was worth it. 45 minutes isn't bad. I skipped the almonds, laid the green beans along either side of the pork chops and spooned sauce over both with rice on the side. Terrific!

My family liked this meal a lot. The pork chops were very good. My only suggestion is to add a little bit more garlic and maybe just a little bit of either cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes for those who like it a little spicy.
The cheese was excellent as well. The chops, the rice and the green beans were a very good combination. Thank you, Rachel.

Sorry but the cooking technique for the pork chops made them a little rubbery. The sauce looked colorful but didn't have the kick I expected.
